Sharon Stone hasn't quite gotten the memo yet that she's not the world's biggest movie star anymore, judging by her latest diva debacle.

The 58-year-old Basic Instinct star was dumped as a special guest at luxury jeweller de Grisogono's ritzy Cannes Film Festival party at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc after making outrageous demands in return for her attendance.

"She wanted $300,000, plus eight rooms at the [hotel] for a week and a private jet," a source told Page Six. "They pulled out. Kim Kardashian attended instead for a pair of earrings."

Yeah, that's what you call a reality check…by way of a reality star. Just to rub it in, Kim, 35, "did not get to keep the earrings – she only got to wear them", the source added. What a girl will do to for diamonds!

Naturally, Kim gushed about the jewels to her 70.6 million Instagram followers – a fair few more than Sharon's 96.5k followers. Gee, that jewellery brand got a return on investment.

So what did Sharon miss out on? Apparently Leonardo DiCaprio had to climb over the hotel's walls around the pool because he couldn't leave properly through the crowds.

Meanwhile, other party people included Bella Hadid, Harvey Weinstein, Robert De Niro, Chris Tucker and the night's performers, Earth, Wind & Fire. It sounds like Sharon missed out!

This isn't the first time she's been accused of diva behaviour, though. In 2014, Italian director-producer duo The Avati Brothers spilled all about her OTT demands on the set of The Golden Boy in Italy, including renting her a luxury train from Florence.

On her last day on set, she allegedly "disappeared", only to have her manager call from LA to tell the directors to shoo away paparazzi on her behalf.

"The thing I found most absurd is that she had to call to the States and to close herself in a car, instead of coming to ask us directly," Pupi Avati told The Hollywood Reporter. Her rep denied all the claims, saying she was "a consummate professional".
