Shaquille O'Neal leaves TV host red-faced after flirty exchange during interview

Shaquille O'Neal just put the moves on a TV host during a recent interview.

The former NBA star appeared on E! News show Daily Pop recently to promote his new line of suits for plus-sized men when the conversation turned flirty.

After hosts Rocsi Diaz and Carissa Culiner asked the 47-year-old to show off his modelling skills, O'Neal couldn't help but turn his attention to Diaz.

"I could never be sad and pouty with you sitting there," he told her, before telling Culiner, "She's always in my DMs, I just wanted you to know that."

Diaz was taken aback and nervously laughed, "Oh my God, let's tell the truth." But the athlete persisted. 

"I can't tell you some of the things she says," he said. "You know what she says? She says, 'Even though I'm Spanish, you know I like that chocolate.' For real. And I tell her, 'Once you go Shaq, you never go back.'" 

The exasperated host explained that the only reason she got in touch with him on Instagram was to say she'd be interviewing him, so he had better make her look good.

Thankfully for Diaz, O'Neall eventually reined in his flirty behaviour towards the end of the interview, but not before taking the piss one last time. 

The LA Lakers great was asked what he did first thing in the morning after waking up and he laughed, "I say, 'Hey, you alright. 'No, the first thing I do is say, 'How're you doing? Who are you interviewing today? Oh, you're interviewing me? Alright, I'll be right behind you.'

"I'm just playing America, I'm just playing," he concluded.
