Singer Shakira says she was 'attacked' and robbed by wild boars while walking in Barcelona park with young son

Singer Shakira has claimed she met with misadventure recently as she walked in a park in Spain.

In a now-expired video uploaded to Instagram Stories this week, the 44-year-old said she was "attacked" and robbed by wild boars as she walked in a Barcelona park with her eight-year-old son, Milan, Newsweek reports.

"Look how two wild boars that have attacked me in the park have left my bag," she said in Spanish while showing off her muddied backpack bag, according to the publication.

The boars apparently tried to take the pop star's bag and its contents but she managed to wrangle it back. Watch the video above for more.

"They have attacked me, they have shattered everything ... and they were taking my bag to the forest with my phone. And in the end, they left me the bag/purse because I confronted them," she reportedly added.

In the clip, the Colombian singer then turned to Milan and asked him to verify her story. Shakira also shares another son, six-year-old Sasha, with Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué.

"Milan, tell the truth. Say how your mummy stood up to the wild boar," she said in the video, which she playfully soundtracked with the theme song of popular '70s Spanish documentary series El Hombre y La Tierra.

Shakira did not reveal when the incident took place but it appears neither she nor Milan were injured. According to local news outlet Catalan News, there has reportedly been an increase in sightings of aggressiveness wild boars in urban areas.
