Blair’s lawyers claim that her alleged outburst was sparked in part by missing her medication.

The Cruel Intentions star entered a not guilty plea on Monday night after being charged with two counts of second-degree assault after a series of alleged attacks on a flight attendant, a Port Authority police officer and a hospital nurse.

Blair appeared before Judge Indira Khan, who set bail at US$20,000 cash, $60,000 bond or a $60,000 partially secured bond.

Blair is represented by defence lawyers Shawn Barnes and Joshua Reitzas.

The Legally Blonde actress′ case was adjourned until January 19, 2027.

The judge granted an order of protection to the hospital nurse Blair allegedly assaulted.

Blair’s alleged outburst happened on a flight bound for John F Kennedy International Airport in New York.

According to 911 audio, which has been obtained by multiple US outlets, a pilot called for medical assistance and law enforcement to be on hand when the plane landed to help with an “abusive” passenger.

“Could you pass on to the folks at JFK, we’d like to have some medical personnel at the gates for a couple of [flight attendants] involved in the passenger incident,” the pilot said in the recording.

The pilot confirmed that ambulances were not needed, just medical personnel at the gate when the flight arrived.

The pilot also claimed the “disruptive passenger” had “bashed her head on the bulkhead” and would need to get “potentially checked out as well as involved with law enforcement.”

Blair allegedly repeatedly kicked a Port Authority police officer in the head when she was being transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Once at the hospital, the Cruel Intentions star allegedly assaulted a nurse, who has pressed charges.

TMZ is reporting that Blair has been charged with two counts of assault, one on a police officer and another on a nurse.

“Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct. Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition,” her rep said in a statement to Page Six.

The actress remains in hospital, with the FBI now investigating the in-flight incident.

“The FBI is responsible for investigating all assaults aboard aircraft,” a spokesperson told People.

“Yesterday, we were informed by our partners at Port Authority Police Department of a potential assault aboard a flight that arrived into JFK. As per long-standing DOJ policy, we do not comment on ongoing investigations.”

It’s unclear what caused the medical emergency or whether Blair could face any criminal charges.
