Selena Gomez tears up accepting Teen Choice Award: 'You guys make me better'

Selena Gomez wore her heart on her chic black sleeves at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards in LA, breaking into tears while accepting the Ultimate Choice Award.

The 22-year-old thanked fans for being there for her "especially this month" and for reminding her "what's important" amid her personal issues. Watch Selena's on-stage show of emotion above!

Selena's speech got us wondering… is all okay in Selena land? The singer-actress has had her ups and downs in 2014, with her January stint in rehab, her dramas with on-again off-again love Justin Bieber and fake nude photos doing the rounds of the web last week.

And then, of course, there's that little matter of her ex Justin having a brawl with Orlando Bloom in Ibiza in late July.

Selena was linked to Orlando earlier this year after they were papped together, however, TMZ reports that there's nothing going on between them and Selena "had nothing do with the fight".

So the "especially this month" mystery remains... but we do hope Selena is taking care of herself. Just don't get back with Bieber, okay, love?
