Selena Gomez apologises after being accused of mocking ex Justin Bieber's wife Hailey

Selena Gomez has issued an apology after several fans accused her of being shady toward ex Justin Bieber's wife, Hailey Bieber.

The 'Lose You to Love Me' singer, 29, caused a stir among Bieber fans after recently sharing a TikTok of her skincare routine – similar to Hailey's regular "Get Ready With Me" vlogs she shared just hours prior.

In the video, Gomez appeared to roll her eyes throughout, which fans considered to be mocking the 25-year-old model.

Users flooded the comments section, writing remarks like, "It's giving I'm a performative loser who blatantly gets away with bullying other women" and "the way she twisted her eyes in every step," per screenshots on Twitter.

According to a screenshot, the former Disney star responded to the criticism, commenting, "This is why I believe in taking care of your mental health. Guys no idea what I did but I really am sorry. Zero bad intention. Deleting soon."

Last month, Hailey seemingly hit back at fans of Gomez, who once dated her husband Justin, for trolling her on social media.

"Enough time has gone by," she added, appearing to reference how long it's been since Gomez and Justin, 28, split. "I'm minding my business. I don't do anything, I don't say anything. Leave me alone, please."

Gomez was in an on-off relationship with the 'Yummy' singer between 2010 and May 2018. Months after the split, Justin reconnected with his ex Hailey and they were married in September that year.
