Creepy transformation: The X-Files finale teaser shows Scully turning into an alien

The opening scene for The X-Files finale was released during half-time of Super Bowl 50…and it's a doozy.

In the clip, which gives the first look at the reboot's final episode 'My Struggle II', Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) literally transforms into stereotypical alien form. Watch above – be sure to keep going until the very end.

Sure, the switch could be figurative, since Dana's been paranoid about what her alien DNA could mean all season, but we've got chills regardless.

Sadly for impatient viewers, we'll have to wait until later this month to watch what is shaping up to be the must-see episode of the six-part season.

In the meantime, the fourth episode, 'Home Again', airs on Sunday at 8:30pm on Ten.
