Scarface actor Geno Silva dies aged 72 following health battle
Scarface actor Geno Silva has died at 72.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the star's family confirmed the sad news, revealing that the veteran star passed away on May 9 at his LA home from a frontotemporal degeneration — a form of dementia.

Silva was best known for his role as The Skull in the infamous mafia movie alongside Al Pacino, who played crime boss Tony Montana. In fact, it was Silva's hitman character who silenced Montana for good in one of the most memorable closing scenes in Hollywood history.
The actor's career spanned four decades racking up many film credits to his name since the 1983 film — Silva also starred in Tequila Sunrise, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Mulholland Drive and A Man Apart.

He has also made guest appearances on television, starring in Miami Vice, Walker, Texas Ranger, Star Trek: Enterprise and Alias.
He is survived by his wife Pamela, daughter Lucia and two grandchildren, Eva and Levon.
