'I haven't been alone since': Sandra Bullock recalls hiding in the closet during terrifying home invasion
Sandra Bullock has opened up about a terrifying incident that saw a stranger break into her home as she hid in a closet, scared for her life.
The 57-year-old actress gushed about her children Louis and Laila on Jada Pinkett Smith's Facebook Live show Red Table Talk and opened up about a home invasion that left her "unravelling" for days after.
"My house was broken into while I was in it," Bullock told Willow Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith and her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris.

"I'm in the closet going, 'This doesn't end well.' I'm in the closet, [which is] not gonna help."
Bullock also spoke of her relief that her 11-year-old son Louis wasn't at home that night and admitted it would have "changed our destiny forever" if he was there.
"It was the one night that Louis wasn't with me," Bullock said of her son, who she adopted at three months old in 2010.
"It was the one night that our nanny goes, 'Let me just take him to my apartment', which is up the street, 'because you're going to be out late.' "
"Had he been home, I would've run to the closet, which is now my official closet but that was his bedroom, and it would have changed our destiny forever."

"So why was he not home on that one night? And the violation of that. I wasn't the same after that. I was unravelling."
The Miss Congeniality actress admitted she hasn't had the courage to spend the night alone since the terrifying incident.
"I haven't been alone since the day it happened," Bullock said.
Elsewhere in the interview, Bullock spoke of the joy of raising her son Louis and daughter Laila, both whom she adopted.
In a sombre chat about her children's' background, the Oscar-winning star said she sometimes wished she shared the same skin colour to make it "easier" on them.

"To say that I wish our skins matched, sometimes I do. Because then it would be easier on how people approach us," Bullock explained.
"And I have the same feelings as a woman with brown skin being her babies or a white woman with white babies."
"It's the mother-child dynamic," Pinkett-Smith's daughter Willow added. "There is no colour."
