Robert Irwin shares hospital bed snap after emergency surgery: 'Feeling so much better'
Robert Irwin is on the mend after a scary trip to the hospital.
The 14-year-old TV star and wildlife ambassador revealed on Instagram January 12 that he underwent emergency surgery to remove his appendix.
Even under those circumstances, Irwin couldn't help but keep a cheery disposition. In the photo, he smiled brightly and even gave the "thumb's up" sign as he lay in his hospital bed.
"Kicking off the new year with emergency surgery. I’m recovering well and feeling so much better without my pesky appendix!" he captioned the pic, adding a crying-laughing face emoji.

Robert recently celebrated Christmas with mum Terri, 53, sister Bindi, 19, and her boyfriend Chandler Powell, 21, and shared an Instagram video of the group goofing around as they gathered around the Christmas tree.
