Riverdale star Vanessa Morgan welcomes baby after divorce from Michael Kopech

Riverdale star Vanessa Morgan has welcomed a baby boy alongside her ex-husband Michael Kopech.

"Vanessa had the baby, and Michael is with her as well. They're both thrilled," a source said, according to E! News.

The 28-year-old actress shared the news that she was pregnant in July, with several photos and videos.

"Exciting news. I am overjoyed to be welcoming my baby boy into the world this January," she wrote to Instagram. "This little guy has already brought me so much happiness and a feeling of such a greater purpose. I cannot wait to meet you!!"

Days later, it was announced that Kopech had filed for divorce. The former couple had been married for six months after tying the knot in January 2020.

Since news of the split, Morgan kept updating fans on pregnancy milestones. In August, she shared an ultrasound picture and posted photos from the Riverdale set a month later.

For Halloween, she was joined by many of her Riverdale castmates for a baby shower. Camila Mendes, Lili Reinhart and Madelaine Petsch, were all in attendance for the occasion.
