Rita Wilson, 69, gobsmacks fans with massive back tattoo
Rita Wilson is showing fans a different side of herself, more specifically her back which she’s just inked with a new massive tattoo.
The actress and singer, 69, who is married to Tom Hanks, revealed the huge cross tattoo that stretches across her back in an Instagram post.

She also revealed additional ink on her arm.
It came as Wilson released her latest song, Stranger with Age.
“STRANGER WITH AGE? Who? Me? I’m lovin’ it! Who else is stranger with age? STRANGER WITH AGE song is out everywhere,” she captioned the post.
The tattooed look is a far cry away from her usually polished red carpet looks, laving fans surprised in the best way possible.
“My 90 year-old mother got a tattoo with my youngest daughter. And my oldest designed it. You’re very cool!” one fan wrote.
“I got my first tattoo at 47 on my spine,” another wrote.
Other comments pointed out how “cool” Wilson was adding she “rocked.”
Her famous friends also jumped at the chance to praise Wilson in the comments.
“Love this! 🤗,” The Morning Show actress Reese Witherspoon commented.
“Beautiful,” Jessica Simpson wrote.

Her post comes more than a year after she marked 10-years of being cancer free.
Wilson shared an emotional video on Instagram with fans to commemorate the occasion at the time, saying she is “so deeply grateful” to have her health after her breast cancer journey.
“Hi, just wanted to say today is a celebration for me. March 31 marks 10 years of being cancer free,” she said in her video message.

The star went on to say that she doesn’t “talk about it much, but I think it’s important to celebrate good news.”
She continued: "10 years. And I am so deeply grateful."
She shared a message to her doctors and family and friends who helped her throughout her journey, and a message to other cancer survivors.
"I'm so thankful to my doctors. To my friends, to my family. The gratitude is overwhelming. Didn't always feel this way," Wilson remarked.
"And you know that, anybody who's going through [it, or] who's survived knows that it's an up and down, like, hamster wheel. But then you get to this point."
Wilson added her best wishes to anyone else who might be enduring a health battle, saying: “You are in my thoughts and prayers.”
Throughout her cancer journey, Hanks stood lovingly by her side.

Following his first failed marriage to actress Samantha Lewes, Hanks and Wilson became Hollywood’s golden couple in the late 80s.
The pair welcomed their first child together, a son named Chester, in 1990 and shared the big screen again in 1993 when they starred as siblings in Sleepless in Seattle.
Their second son, Truman, arrived in 1995, after Hanks won two consecutive Oscars for Best Actor for Philadelphia in 1993 and Forrest Gump in 1994.
The actor credited his wife for those achievements, telling Oprah Winfrey in 2001 that his performances wouldn't have been the same without Wilson by his side.
