Fans in awe over ‘buff’ 76-year-old Rick Springfield’s shirtless performance
Aussie rocker Rick Springfield is out on the road, and fans are convinced the 76-year-old is a “vampire” after witnessing his energetic onstage persona.
A clip of the Jessie’s Girl musician performing his biggest hit, while touring the US with former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar, has gone viral for both his incredible vocals and ripped torso.

Fans were in awe at Springfield’s excellent shape, which he’s had no problem showing off during performances without his shirt.
Springfield reshared a fan’s clip from a June 14 show in Indiana, which garnered 2.7 million views and thousands of comments on his Instagram alone.
“I remember seeing you when I was 16 years old and you look the same many years later,” one fan reacted.
“Rick is in a time capsule,” another joked.
“He is amazing! But I think he is a vampire,” a third said. “My first teen crush!”
Another wrote in disbelief, “Is this current? Kudos for being all buff still! Voice sounds great too. Musicians should play as long as they can because music is so healing.”
The clip even drew the attention of Joe Rogan and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, who discussed it on Rogan’s podcast.
“This is literally bananas. He’s 76 years old and he’s singing Jessie’s Girl like he just wrote it,” Rogan said.
Lee, 63, called him “f---ing inspirational” and said he planned to be doing the same in 10 years time.
In 2023, Springfield opened up about the intense fitness regime he uses to keep himself looking and feeling fit.
“I work out every day,” Springfield told People.
“I just got a trainer, and I’ve been working out with him. Basically, I watch what I eat, and I try and stay active.”

Springfield was born in New South Wales and started as a teen heart throb in the band Zoot before he relocated to the United States in the early 1970s.
After nearly a decade of minor work, Springfield’s fame exploded as he took on the role of Dr Noah Drake on daytime soap General Hospital in 1981.
That same year, he released album Working Class Dog, led by single Jessie’s Girl, that reached number one in the US and earned him a Grammy Award.
