Rebel Wilson reveals heartbreak over father's death

Rebel Wilson is one of Australia's funniest exports…but she reveals she's been secretly grieving after her father passed away suddenly last year.

In an interview in the Herald Sun's Hit magazine about Super Fun Night, the short-lived TV show she created and starred in, Rebel spoke for the first time about her father's death.

"What a lot of people maybe didn’t know was that my father passed away in the second week of production of the show," she told the magazine.

Rebel, 28, didn't elaborate on what caused her father's death.

The hilarious actress has often spoken about her "colourful" upbringing alongside brother Ryot and sisters Annachi and Liberty.

The kids were regulars on Sydney's professional dog show circuit, accompanying their parents who were beagle breeders.
