Rebel Wilson is healing after an on-set accident resulted in her having to get stitches.

The 43-year-old Aussie actress has shared an update on her Instagram Story about what happened to her while filming in Savannah, Georgia recently.

In the video, the injury to her nose was quite apparent. Wilson said toward the beginning of the clip: "I just wanted to say thank you for all your well wishes."

"I've actually been healing quite amazing," she continued, showing off the injury.

"The stitches have dissolved out from my on-set accident last week."

According to Wilson, she had done several "kick-ass fight sequences" for the independent action film (which is allowed during the writers and actors strikes currently ongoing), and was filming her final scene in the movie when she was hit in the face with the butt of a gun during a fight scene.

"It was such a shock," the Bridesmaids star remarked, later adding that she's "all good" now.

"It was like really fun to do an action movie, but God, it can be a bit dangerous," Wilson also said in the clip.

Over the weekend, Wilson shared a photo of herself from what appeared to be a hospital emergency room to her Instagram Story.

"NOT the way I wanted to end this movie!" she wrote over the photo.

Wilson gave a few more details: "3 stitches and in hospital last night after a stunt accident at 4am."

The star had been filming Bride Hard in Savannah, a fact that fans were surprised to hear considering the ongoing writers and actors strike.

SAG-AFTRA members are currently striking, refusing to do any work until their demands are met.

Bride Hard, however, is one of the very few projects with explicit permission from the union to continue production.

The action comedy film is said to have an agreement "within the scope of the strike order". It's likely this is because it's an independent production.

Now that production has wrapped, Wilson is making her way back to Australia, where she's slated to direct a new film titled The Deb.
