Rapper Cardi B reveals a photographer exposed himself to her during magazine photoshoot

Rapper and actress Cardi B has detailed her own #MeToo story in a candid interview on Untold Stories of Hip Hop.

The 26-year-old Grammy Award winner made the revelation during a sit down with US TV host Angie Martinez, sharing her account of being harassed during a photoshoot.

"I will never forget how I went to shoot for this magazine and, like, the photographer, he was trying to get close to me," the 'Bodak Yellow' rapper said.

"Like, 'Yeah, you want to get into this magazine?' And he pulled his d--- out. I was so f--ing mad."

Cardi B added that she left the photoshoot over the incident, however, when she reported the behaviour to the magazine's owner there was no action taken.

"When I see the #MeToo movement, there's girls from the 'hood, I know they went through the same type of treatment," she said in the interview.

In the preview for the full episode — which airs in the US on Thursday evening — the mother-of-one said that harassment "happens really every day".

It has been a huge month for Cardi B, following the world premiere of the film Hustlers —where she makes her acting debut — at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The movie, which also stars Jennifer Lopez, is based on the true story of several strippers who scammed Wall Street bankers following the Global Financial Crisis.
