Paris Hilton's husband, Carter Reum, has a nine-year-old daughter

Just four days after Paris Hilton and Carter Reum tied the knot in a three-day ceremony, it has been confirmed that the millionaire venture capitalist has a daughter.

A spokesperson for Reum said in a statement to Page Six on Monday, "The people who this story matters to have known about it for 10 years. Carter supports this child. While he does not have a traditional father-daughter relationship with her, he has provided for her since she was born, and will continue to do so."

According to Page Six, who first broke the news, Reum, 40, has a daughter whom he shares with reality star Laura Bellizzi. A source told the outlet that he has only seen the nine-year-old once "since she was born".

The source noted that the girl had been "triggered" by seeing coverage of Reum's nuptials and felt "left out of her father's life".

"She saw the articles of Paris and Carter talking about starting a family. She felt tremendous rejection and felt left out. She wants to have a relationship with him," said the source.

On November 11, Hilton married Reum in a lavish ceremony that spanned three days. The Simple Life alum, 40, began the celebration at her late grandfather Barron Hilton's Bel-Air estate, which is estimated to be worth US$60 million (approx. $82 million).

"My forever begins today... ✨💍 11/11 💝#JustMarried #ForeverHiltonReum," the newlywed captioned a photo of herself in her wedding dress.

According to TMZ, a string of celebrities attended the lavish ceremony. Stars such as Paula Abdul, Bebe Rexha, Emma Roberts, Evan Ross and reality TV star and Hilton's auntie Kyle Richards were in attendance. Hilton's best friend Kim Kardashian was also at the event.

Following the wedding and reception, there was also a night spent with wedding guests at the Santa Monica Pier, followed by a more lux black-tie event.

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon last month, Hilton revealed her nuptials were filmed as part of her upcoming Peacock docuseries, Paris in Love.

"I just feel like for my documentary, This Is Paris, it ended in a way in which, you know, it was amazing but I just feel like I wanted my fans to see that I found my Prince Charming and my happy fairytale ending," the heiress and DJ explained.

Reum proposed to Hilton on February 13 after one year of dating. The pair were celebrating Hilton's 40th birthday on a private island when the author popped the question with a mega-carat, emerald-cut diamond ring designed by jeweller Jean Dousset — the great-great-grandson of famed French jeweller Louis Cartier.

"When you find your soulmate, you don't just know it. You feel it," Hilton captioned the happy engagement photos.

"My love and I have been together since our first date and for my birthday, he arranged a special trip to tropical paradise. As we walked to dinner along the beach, Carter led us to a cabana adorned with flowers and dropped to one knee. I said yes, yes to forever. There's no one I'd rather spend forever with."
