Paris Hilton has never seen a phone bill

Forget Barack Obama or Ban Ki-Moon, Paris Hilton is the "single busiest person on the planet", says her lawyer.

The socialite is facing a lawsuit from the producers of her 2006 move Pledge This. They claim she didn't live up to her commitments to promote the film and are demanding $8 million in compensation.

For people who think Paris is secretly a genius who puts on the dumb act to create a character, some of the stuff she came out with in court yesterday might convince you otherwise…

When she was unable to retrace her social footsteps at the time she was supposed to be promoting the film, Paris explained that she doesn't have a diary, she just uses the internet to find out where she's been. "I just press my name and Google it," she told the judge.

Lawyers showed her a copy of her phone bill from the time, and Paris commented, "I've never seen a phone bill of mine in my life."

Paris was credited as an executive producer on the film, but she told the court, "I'm not sure what a producer does, but… I don't know, help get cool people in the cast?"

Her lawyer insists the heiress did all she could to promote the film, it was just very hard for her to turn up to every event since she's "the single busiest person on the planet".

As a closing argument, Paris told the court that she had put in a good word for the film at every opportunity… "Any chance I got, any red carpet, any press, if I was doing something for another product I would just bring it up, 'Oh, my new sorority film, it's going to be sexy, it's going to be hot girls…' Like I really, you know, did my best."
