Ouch! Fans savage Shakira's 'lip sync' disaster

Shakira's performance at the Billboard Awards has been ripped apart by fans on Twitter who openly mocked her 'lip syncing' with catty tweets. See it for yourself in the video above!

The sultry singer, 37, took to the stage to perform her song Empire at the awards show. But the star was quickly outshone by the not-so-subtle delay between her "singing" and the song coming out of the speakers. Oops!

To make things worse for Shakira, her apparent inability to lipsync soon became a hot topic on Twitter.

"I can lipsync this song better than Shakira and I've never even heard it," sniped one user.

"Why [does] Shakira look like she's in a bad kung fu movie???" joked another.

But it was another witty Tweeter who summed it up best.

"Shakira's hips might not lie but her lips do!" Oh snap.

It's all pretty ironic for a singer who coaches on a show called The Voice…just saying.
