'On The Run' TV teaser features solemn-looking Bey singing : 'He would always win the fight'
If Beyoncé wants to put an end to split rumours, this probably isn’t the best way to go about it.
In a fuel to the fire move, the songstress features on a teaser for a new HBO one-off special about her and Jay Z’s “On The Run” tour featuring some dubious lyrics.
Performing 1966 song ‘Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)’, Beyonce, 32, sings to a cigar-smoking Jay Z that “he would always win the fight” and that she “shot him down.”
Erm, we’re hope this isn’t a case of art imitating life. But TheFIX can’t be alone in getting a little bored of the guessing game of are they or aren’t they going to split.
The couple have been plagued with break-up rumours over the last two months, with sources saying they’re seeing lawyers about a divorce.
However, both have remained tight lipped, refusing to acknowledge the rumours officially.
Perhaps the HBO special will give us a glimpse of what life on the road was like for the pair? Or just offer a micro-managed, controlled version of events to fit in with their public image?
