Normani recovers from major wardrobe malfunction in the most amazing way

Normani suffered an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction when she hit the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards to perform her latest banger 'Motivation'.

However, she managed to recover from the mishap in the best way possible.

Soon after the former Fifth Harmony singer took to the stage, a backup dancer tried to assist her with an outfit reveal, but struggled to remove her jacket seamlessly.

Normani handled the delayed outfit change with professionalism, and danced through the clunky moment. Watch the moment in the video above.

She powered her way through the rest of the number with a number of splits, backflips, and epic dance breaks.

Twitter instantly applauded the singer on how well she kept her composure and killed the performance in spite of the minor mishap.

Normani previously attended the MTV Video Music Awards with her band Fifth Harmony. But this year marks the first time she came out as a solo performer.

Before the show aired she told MTV News how excited she was to take to the stage and perform her '90s inspired track.

"This is a moment that I've been waiting for such a long time and I feel like there's so much bottled up in me that I feel like the world has yet to experience," she said. "So I'm more excited than anything, just to be like, 'This is who I am. This is who I've known that I was all along.'"
