Behold, evidence Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning are the BFFs we all need in our lives

Nicole Kidman made a show-stopping arrival to the Cannes Film Festival on May 21, and her total love fest with fellow actress Elle Fanning will be the best thing you'll see all day.

Nicole, 49, and Elle, 19, shut down the red carpet at the premiere for their new science fiction/romantic comedy film, How to Talk to Girls at Parties. And we're making the case that these two are the BFFs we all need in our lives.

Clearly, there was a glittery silver memo shared between them. Nicole stepped out in a sequin midi gown with nude tulle trim. Meanwhile, Elle was a vision in a mint green halter look featuring silver appliques down the bust.

This year's Cannes celebration is particularly special for Nicole. The Academy Award winner and Cannes veteran has a staggering four projects showing at the prestigious film festival: Sofia Coppola’s The Beguiled and Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Killing of a Sacred Deer, which are in both in competition, How to Talk to Girls at Parties, and the Sundance TV drama, Top of the Lake.

And in just a month, the Aussie actress will celebrate her 50th birthday on June 20.
