Jean-Claude Van Damme's son, 21, arrested, accused of holding roommate at knifepoint
Nicholas Van Varenberg, the 21-year-old son of Hollywood action film star Jean-Claude Van Damme, is facing criminal charges after allegedly holding his roommate at knifepoint at their apartment in the US city of Tempe, Arizona.
TMZ reports police were called Sunday after Nicholas was seen punching the elevator in his apartment building. Authorities said they followed "a trail of blood leading to his apartment." After speaking with him and a roommate, they discovered Nicholas had an injured hand.

Authorities left the residence, only to return 20 minutes later when the roommate fled downstairs and said he had escaped from Nicholas, who allegedly held him at knifepoint inside the apartment. The roommate said Nicholas was upset that he let police enter the apartment.
Upon searching the residence, police found the knife and marijuana. Nicholas was was booked for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful imprisonment, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
