Real Housewives star NeNe Leakes reveals her husband is 'transitioning to the other side' amid colon cancer battle

NeNe Leakes has given an update on her husband's deteriorating condition.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 53, confirmed Gregg Leakes was "dying" during an appearance at her Linnethia Lounge in Duluth, Georgia.

"My husband is transitioning to the other side," she told a crowd of people in videos obtained by multiple social media accounts. Listen above.

"You don't know what we're dealing with right now. We walked in this lounge because we had to walk in this lounge because this is our business. So, when people approach and say, 'you're rude because you don't want to say happy birthday,' my husband is at home dying. I don't want to say 'happy birthday'."

Gregg was first diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer in 2018, but recovered a year after. In June this year, the reality star revealed the sad news her husband's cancer had returned.

"If you've ever been around somebody who's had cancer before, he's different," she said at the time. "He's different."

NeNe seemingly addressed her speech by sharing a post on Instagram that simply read, "Broken."

She received an outpouring of support from her followers who wrote, "Praying for you all during this difficult time."

Real Housewives co-star Cynthia Bailey wrote, "So saddened by this news. Sending you and your family love, support and prayers."

The couple have been together for over 20 years. They first tied the knot in 1997 and divorced in 2011. However, they reunited and got married again in June 2013.
