Vogue supermodel Natalia Vodianova pregnant with sixth child at 44: 'Fortunate to have this chance'

Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova is expecting her sixth child.

The 44-year-old, married to Christian Dior CEO Antoine Arnault, unveiled her glowing baby bump as she posed in a teal mini dress on the cover of May Vogue France.

Vodianova already shares two sons, Maxim, 11, and Roman, nine, with Arnault. She is also mum to Lucas, 24, Neva, 20, and Viktor, 18, with ex-husband and British property heir Justin Portman.

French businessman Arnault, hails from one of the wealthiest families in the world as the eldest son of Bernard Arnault. The LVMH founder has an estimated net worth of US$190.4 billion ($265.7 billion) according to Forbes.

As the world's largest luxury goods company, LVMH houses brands Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, TAG Heuer, Tiffany & Co, Moët & Chandon and more.

Vodianova has found fame in her own right. In 2012, the mum-of-five was named one of the highest-earning supermodels in the world by Forbes, earning an estimated US$8.6 million ($11.9 million) in one year.

Sharing the news to Vouge France's official Instagram, editor Claire Thomson-Jonville revealed Vodianova felt "fortunate" to be an expecting mother at age 44.

"Between two runway shows, at the start of the year, Natalia Vodianova confided in me that she was pregnant. Her sixth child, at 44," wrote Thomson-Jonville.

"During our conversation, Natalia perfectly incarnates this kind of motherhood, chosen and fully owned.

"She was reflective on how fortunate she is to have this chance."

The fashion model and philanthropist shares three children, two sons and one daughter, with ex-husband Justin Portman.

The two married in November 2001 and separated 10 years later.

That same year Vodianova met now husband Arnault on the set of a 2011 photoshoot, describing their romance as "a superb roller coaster ride".

Arnault has described his wife as "something undefinable" noting "an aura about her".

They married in June 2020 at the Paris City Hall, and currently live in France.
