Miley Cyrus threw Liam Hemsworth a weed party for his birthday as her big 'I love you'

It's more marijuana than marriage for Miley and Liam at the moment.

You read correct: Miley Cyrus threw a "joint" birthday party on Friday for her Hemsworth hunk, who turned 27 on January 13, and her sister Noah, who turned 17 on January 8.

Rounding out the birthday club was Miley's pal Wayne Coyne from The Flaming Lips, who turned 56 on January 13.

Miley was pretty clear about the party's theme on her Instagram, thanking Snoop Dogg for supplying the bash with a weed bar.

"@merryjane hooked it up! Wowzyyyyyyy! Thanks Uncle @snoopdogg for being such a dope ganja innovator," Miley wrote, with a suspicious cigarette hanging out of her mouth.

It's not exactly controversial, though – California legalised recreational cannabis last November.

And while Miley clearly loved the weed-themed party (in the USA), Liam failed to appear in any of her photos. Instead, Miley shared selfies and dancing videos with Wayne Coyne and his girlfriend Katy Weaver (see above).

It was wild one, from the sounds of things. Guests were treated to giant pizzas, weed goodie bags, and tattoos on the spot.

The party was inspired by hip-hop group N.W.A., but themed "N.W.L" after Noah, Wayne and Liam. According to E!, the triple birthday cake had a black hat and gold chain with "N.W.L" frosted on it.

Chris Hemsworth's wife Elsa Pataky and Twilight's Ashley Greene shared photos from what was obviously a huge night.

Liam didn't give away much on his Instagram, other than a photo of himself wearing a curly, orange-haired wig, and a message thanking fans for their birthday wishes.

A day earlier, Miley paid tribute to her beau with a couple selfie that was liked by more than 1.2 million Instagram followers.

"Happiest birthday EVER to my favourite being EVER EVER EVER! You have been my best friend since the day we met," she captioned the picture below. "I am beyond lucky to share sooooo many animals with you!!! 🐷🦄🐶😻🐣 I love you @liamhemsworth." Well ain't that just the sweetest?

Miley continued the birthday celebrations this morning, sharing a shot of a "vase bong", also from Snoop Dogg.

"It's not your birthday, but we decided to get you baked anyway," the card from Snoop's Merry Jane cannabis lifestyle business reads.
