Miley Cyrus has been heavily flaunting her romance with Cody Simpson online over the past three months, however her new fling didn't quite make the cut for her recent "decade-in-review" post on Instagram.

Cyrus posted the 10-minute video on New Year's Day to honour her personal and professional highlights over the past 10 years, with her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth, featuring several times.

From their first meeting on The Last Song, to their engagement, emotional split, reunion, wedding and divorce announcement in late 2019, the clip honoured Hemsworth's presence in Cyrus' life, leaving fans feeling emotional.

Australian singer, Simpson, and The Hills star Kaitlynn Carter, who Cyrus reportedly shared a brief romance with following her split to Hemsworth, didn't appear in the video.

Aside from her love life, Cyrus reflected on her professional milestones, including clips of her performing on stage, starring in screen productions, and even launching charities.

Meanwhile, Simpson took the dawning of a new decade as an opportunity to publicly declare his love for his 27-year-old powerhouse girlfriend.

Sharing a photo of them together on his stories, Simpson wrote "I love my girl so much, I could write 20 books."

The couple have faced rumours of a split after Page Six reported Simpson was spotted flirting with other girls over Christmas.

The singer has since branded the reports "stupid", insisting he and Cyrus are "great", and the following day the pair shared their dinner date on Instagram.

"Start dating your best friend ASAP," Cyrus captioned one of the pictures.
