Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson are still dating and 'crazy about each other' amid breakup rumours

Don't believe the hype: Miley Cyrus and Australian singer-songwriter Cody Simpson are still very much an item.

Earlier this week, a tabloid report claimed the pair had split after first confirming their romance in October. However, E! News reports that sources close to the couple say they are doing great and are "crazy about each other."

"Miley and Cody saw each other last week when he visited her in Tennessee. They are fine and are still dating," the source said. "Miley has been resting from her vocal surgery but has been in touch and seen Cody recently."

The source added that Cyrus "always made it clear to Cody that she likes to have freedom and he always understood the dynamic of the relationship." 

Another source told the outlet that the couple is "very happy together," and when she was away from Los Angeles recently, "they definitely missed each other."

The insider added, "She has a busy schedule and a lot of work commitments that have kept them apart. But when they are together there's no doubt they are crazy about each other."

The 'Slide Away' singer, 26, and the Gold Coast native, 22, made their relationship Instagram official in October, shortly after Cyrus split from The Hills: New Beginnings star Kaitlyn Carter, 31.

Cyrus's husband, Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, 29, filed for divorce from the singer-actress in August after less than eight months of marriage. They dated previously on-and-off for 10 years after meeting while filming the 2009 romance drama The Last Song.
