The Mighty Ducks star Shaun Weiss marks two years of sobriety with shocking transformation photo
Shaun Weiss, a former child star who appeared in the classic '90s film The Mighty Ducks, has celebrated two years of sobriety after hitting "rock bottom" in 2020.
Weiss, 43, marked the occasion with an incredible side-by-side comparison of himself, revealing what he looked like at the height of his methamphetamine addiction two years earlier.
The actor — who played goalie Greg Goldberg in the Mighty Ducks franchise — shocked fans in 2020 when he was pictured looking gaunt and unkempt in a mugshot after he was arrested.

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with 12 amazing steps," Weiss captioned his transformation photo on Instagram.
Drew Gallagher, a friend of Weiss, congratulated the ex-child star on his sobriety journey by re-sharing the photo with a proud caption.
"Here's a better comparison shot—-> What a triumph! Congrats @shaunweiss on 2 years sober!!!" Gallagher wrote. "Proud of you brotha—look at you now."
According to TMZ, Weiss graduated from a court-ordered drug program in July and had his burglary charge dismissed.
Weiss marked his first full year of sobriety in January 2021 and celebrated by receiving a set of new teeth after his meth addiction destroyed his smile.

Before embarking on his sober journey, Weiss was arrested in 2020 for breaking into a man's home while high on meth.
He was also busted for public intoxication in August 2018 and a year prior, he was sentenced to 90 days in a county jail for possession of suspected meth and 150 days behind bars for shoplifting at an electronics store.
His rep told Page Six at the time, "He has hit his bottom. Hopefully, he will stay clean and sober when he gets out."
