Hamrick spent 16 years as a ballerina and in 2019 she retired from the American Ballet Company – now four years on, she has hung up the ballet slippers and put pen to paper for a debut novel.
Willoughby has been appearing alongside a fill-in co-host, Craig Doyle after Philip Schofield resigned from the show following his admission of an affair.
Doyle asked Hamrick point blank: "Writing the racier scenes, of course, Sir Mick Jagger your partner, love of your life."

"I'm wondering, has he looked over your shoulder while you were tapping away? How was that?"
Melanie assured Willoughby and Doyle that the legendary rocker was extremely supportive.
"I'm so lucky, he really encouraged me to write and get going."
"If I shocked him, I did a great job, it did what it needed to do. I think at about a halfway point, I said when it comes out you've got to go and buy your own copy."

The hosts also pointed out that the novel's inscription reads: "To my love, thank you for your endless support and inspiration," the passage is then followed by a winking emoji.
Doyle asks if that meant that Jagger had served as inspiration for the plot or even the racy scenes,
"I mean, I think he hopes so," Hamrick laughed.
