Meghan Markle makes royal history with Teen Choice Award nomination
Meghan Markle has made history once again!
The Duchess of Sussex, 36, has been nominated for the Choice Style Icon award at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards, becoming the first member of the royal family to do so.
"Elegance, style and grace — retweet if you think #MeghanDuchessOfSussex is the epitome of royalty and your #ChoiceStyleIcon!" the US-based awards ceremony announced from its official Twitter account. Blake Lively, Chadwick Boseman, Harry Styles, Migos and Zendaya are also nominees in the category.
And yes, Markle may have left her Hollywood acting career behind when she married Prince Harry, 33, but her star power is just as bright! In fact, the former actress may possibly find herself nominated for an Emmy Award this year for her role on Suits!

USA Network has submitted Markle for the consideration ballot in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category, for her role as Rachel Zane on the hit TV show. Reportedly rounding out the potential competition are The Handmaid's Tale's Alexis Bledel, This Is Us' Chrissy Metz, and Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams from Game of Thrones.
It remains unclear if Markle or husband Prince Harry would attend the ceremony in Los Angeles should she win. The 2018 Teen Choice Awards will be televised live on Sunday, August 12 in the US.
Markle exited Suits at the end of Season 7, which aired just weeks before her May 19 wedding. SuitsSuits, set to air next year, with Grey's Anatomy alum Katherine Heigl joining the cast.
