Meghan Markle could win an Emmy for 'Suits'

It's only been a month since Meghan MarkleMeghan Markle, but she's already achieved an unusual 'first' for the British Royal Family.
 
According to Entertainment Tonight, the Duchess of Sussex, 36, is the first royal to be submitted for consideration for an Emmy Award.
 
USA Network has put Markle forward for a possible nomination in the 'Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series' category, for her role as Rachel Zane in Suits.
 
Other actresses on the consideration ballot include The Handmaid's Tale's Alexis Bledel, This Is Us' Chrissy Metz, and Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams from Game of Thrones.
 
While an Emmy nomination would certainly enhance what has already been a big year for Markle, ET reports it is unlikely she will make the cut.
 
Several of Markle's Suits co-stars, including Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams, have been submitted for consideration over the show's run, yet none have been successful.
 
The legal drama's seventh season was the last for Markle, who retired from acting after her relationship with Prince Harry became serious.
