Megan Gale reveals newborn daughter's name: 'No other seemed to suit her more'

One week after welcoming her second child, a daughter, Megan Gale has finally settled on the little one's name: Rosie May Dee Hampson.

The Aussie model and actress, 42, took to Instagram on October 5 to share a sweet new pic of Rosie and  "beautiful" significance behind her name.

"We were lucky we had so many great names for this little girl. We just wanted to be really sure that it was the one for her," she began.

Megan fell in love with the name Rosie while pregnant, but fiancé Shaun Hampson, 29, wasn't exactly a fan at first, she said.

"Then when she was born Shaun said she really suited Rosie but we still weren't 100% and also still keen on some of the other names too. Talk about indecisiveness! Anyway, yesterday we stared long and hard at her while she was snoozing and it just all came together. No other name seemed to suit her more than Rosie."

Like their son's name, River, Rosie's moniker has touching family history, she revealed.

"Rosie is a nod to my Nana (Dad's Mum, Rosella), May is my Mum's name, Dee is Shaun's Mum's name and obviously Hampson, the family name from Tom, Shaun's Dad."

Megan welcomed Rosie on September 27, and recently shared a photo of their "first cuddle" on Instagram.
