Meet Australia's new Bachelor Blake Garvey

Line up the ladies as Ten have announced this year’s Bachelor and he comes in the form of 31-year-old Perth auctioneer Blake Garvey. Here’s a wolf whistle from TheFIX.

So, what do we know about him? Well, he’s super tall at 196cm, he’s half African American and he loves basketball.

He says his single status is down to a combination of “bad timing and circumstance” but he’s now ready to find love.

Blake claims he doesn’t have a type, adding: “Because you always end up with the opposite to your type. So it comes down to the person and having a rapport and a lot in common.” Good point, Blake.

He follows in the steps of Tim Robards, who is still totally smitten with his winning lady Anna Heinrich.

We hope Blake is just as lucky with one of his 24 bachelorettes.
