‘McLeod’s Daughters’ star Myles Pollard reveals a crazed fan once stole his underwear
Myles Pollard, who played Nick Ryan on Nine’s hit drama series McLeod’s Daughters, has revealed his most outrageous fan experience.
As a celebrity we assume one must get used to having some quirky fans, but it seems that even in the quiet town of Gaula, South Australia, celebrities are not safe from their admirers.
“I had all my washing stolen off the line, including all my underwear,” Pollard reveals. “Actually, I think the majority of the wash was my underwear.”
But apparently sneaking into his yard to steal his intimate clothing isn’t the only strange encounter he’s had with fans.
“I lived in the oldest area in Gaula in Church Hill, and it became a part of the tourist route. So coaches and busses would turn up every weekend and they would do the circuit.
“They’d come past my house and I’d be sitting there watering my roses and hanging up my washing – well, what was left of it. People would come out and start taking photographs.”
We can’t help but wonder if perhaps it was one of these tourists who was the culprit of the missing underwear.
Miles was also involved in numerous stunts and action scenes on McLeod’s Daughters. Watch the additional clip below to get a behind the scenes insight into his most daring moments.
All eight seasons of Mcleod’s Daughters are currently available to watch on 9Now.
