'The Bachelor' alum Matty J confirms Nova summer radio hosting gig
He's ready for a new challenge!
After finding love with Laura Byrne on his season of The Bachelor, Matthew 'Matty J' Johnson is set to join radio veteran Sarah McGilvray and Fitzy and Wippa’s news reader Matt De Groot (who also writes a column for 9Honey) to co-host Nova 96.9's summer breakfast slot, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Asked if he had any nerves about putting himself out there publicly again, Matty J admitted he's thought about the weight of the decision. But it's not the first time he's done radio, as he did a tenure on Sea FM earlier this year.
"You're really putting yourself out there on radio for criticism and I don't have the excuse of 'it's my first time cut me some slack," said the former reality star.
"I've got mixture of nerves and excitement like with any job. You get first day nerves and you really don't want to stuff up and make a good first impression."
It would appear Matty J is following in the footsteps of former Bachelorette Sam Frost, who memorably co-hosted with Rove McManus on rival station 2DayFM. Sadly, their show was cancelled last year after only 18 months.
