Sarah Paulson says Matthew Perry once rejected her at a 'makeout party'

Sarah Paulson has recalled a time she went to a "makeout party", only to be rejected by Matthew Perry.

During a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, the 46-year-old actress opened up to host Jimmy Kimmel about an awkward experience she had years ago at a "make-out party" hosted at late author Gore Vidal's house. First explaining that the late actress Carrie Fisher invited her to the event, Paulson said she remembered a number of other stars, like Queen Latifah, also attended the event.

"I didn't see anyone make out, but there was a hat with names in it and you were supposed to make out with whomever you pulled out of the hat," Paulson recalled. "And Matthew Perry pulled my name out of the hat and then promptly left the room."

When Kimmel, 53, asked how she knew that the Friends alum pulled her name, the American Horror Story star explained that it was because he told her.

"I saw him and he was like, 'I got you,' and I was like, 'Uh, well, let's kiss,' and he was like, 'No,'" she laughed.

Paulson noted that she and Perry, 51, already "knew each other" prior to the party.

"We knew each other a little bit through one of my very best friends in the world," Paulson told Kimmel. "So it was awkward."

"But then we ended up playing romantic partners years later on a show called Studio 60, and I got my kiss," she continued. "I got several kisses. And boy, did he regret not taking me up on it back at Gore Vidal's makeout party."

Kimmel responded by joking that Perry probably didn't remember much from that time, to which Paulson agreed. "He probably thinks we did make out at that party," she said.
