'Special Ankle Unit': Law and Order's Mariska Hargitay pokes fun at herself after breaking ankle
As she puts it in her latest Instagram post, Mariska Hargitay 'can't catch a break' in 2021.
The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star, 57, broke her ankle on Friday, weeks after suffering a broken knee and a hairline fracture in her ankle in May.
Hargitay's latest injury occurred as she was leaving a screening of Black Widow in the Hamptons, the actress tripping in the rainy conditions.

She was quick to poke fun at herself on Instagram, sharing a photo of her bandaged foot along with some quick quips earlier today.
"My summer look," Hargitay wrote, adding hashtags including "breaking news", "cast party" and "these little piggies went to the ER".
She also couldn't help throwing in some references to her longtime role as Olivia Benson on Law & Order, with "Special Ankle Unit" and "cracking the case".
According to Page Six, Hargitay spent a few hours at Southampton Hospital after her fall outside the Regal UA East Hampton Cinema on Friday.
She was accompanied in the ambulance by her husband and fellow actor Peter Hermann, star of popular TV series Younger.

Adding insult to injury, Hargitay had to miss the afterparty for the Black Widow screening, which she was hosting at the couple's home in East Hampton.

The actress shared a photo of herself on Instagram on Sunday to wish her fans a happy July 4, before confirming her injury in her later post.
Following her previous injury in May, Hargitay shared a photo of herself coming out of hospital wearing a knee brace and an ankle brace.
"#ThatFeelingWhen, you go to the doctor, get an MRI and find out that you have a broken knee, a hairline fracture in your ankle, and a torn ligament," she wrote.

"It's always a good idea to go to the doctor. Immediately ... Great news is I don't need surgery.
"Thanks for all the love folks! Just so you know this did not happen at work!"
Once again, she couldn't resist a funny hashtag, this time including "brace yourself", "busting perps with busted knees" and "not the bees knees".
