Oscars: Margot Robbie sews her own dress back together after strap breaks at show

Margot Robbie is the latest actress to suffer an all-too-common awards show wardrobe malfunction.

The Aussie legend stunned in in a Chanel Haute Couture gown with beaded off-the-shoulder straps while walking the red carpet at the 90th Academy Awards today. Sadly, the outfit's perfection was short lived, as one of the straps snapped off inside the Dolby Theatre.

Quickly procuring a sewing kit from a backstage assistant, the 27-year-old star then proceeded to fix the dress herself.

"Oh, ain’t got time for that!" she told PEOPLE after sorting herself out.

Fellow nominee Sally Hawkins was also spotted backstage and bumped into Robbie while suffering her own fashion crisis.

"I'm losing shells," she reportedly said, pointing to her glittering Armani Prive gown adorned with Chopard jewels. It is unknown whether Robbie was able to assist.

The former Neighbours star is nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance as shamed figure skater Tonya Harding in I, Tonya.

Co-star Allison Janney won her first Oscar for her supporting role as Harding's demanding and abusive mother. She gave the Queenslander a cute shout out in her acceptance speech,

"To my I, Tonya family, the magnificent Margot Robbie ... this is for how you're always in my heart," she said while accepting the award.

The Oscars are airing live on Nine and streaming live on 9Now.
