All the celebrities spotted on Mardi Gras night in Sydney
The stars have come out to celebrate Mardi Gras 2025, with celebs in their most impressive outfits to celebrate Australia's LGBTIQA+ community.
This year, many were torn between attending Kylie Minogue's Tension Tour in Sydney and the parade, but it didn't stop them from turning up in their best looks.

Kylie Minogue
Kylie Minogue was well aware of the importance of Mardi Gras to her audience, and so she led them in a special cheer as tribute.
The Padam Padam singer was decked out in a silver sequin dress as she took the microphone and said, "Hi Mardi Gras. It's me, Kylie, I'm on stage here with all my friends, my nearest and dearest, and we just wanted to send you a message of love."
She then encouraged everyone in the audience to shout, "Happy Mardi Gras!", jumping up and down in delight at the audience's participation.

Matt Hey (alright hey)
One such audience member was influencer Matt Hey (@alrighthey), who committed to the concert experience by dressing up in one of Kylie's most iconic looks from her X era.
"HAPPY MARDI GRAS 🌈🎉💖" he wrote alongside a photoshoot done in the outfit.
"Skipping the parade for the first time in 11 years to sit front row for @kylieminogue was no question in my mind," he said.
Brittney Saunders and Matt Hey
He attended the event with his friend, content creator and the founder of FAYT Label, Brittney Saunders.
The two matched in red, through Saunders called herself Hey's "backup dancer".

It turns out Hey is almost as popular as his idol Kylie, with the influencer being stopped at every turn for a picture with fans.
He also shared videos of people spotting him in the crowd from a distance, solidifying his star power.
After much speculation, Troye Sivan performed at the Mardi Gras after party for his Sydney fans.
Anthony Albanese
Also making a surprise appearance was Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
Albo, as he is affectionately known, marched in the parade with the Rainbow Labor float with Sydney MP and Environmental Minister Tanya Plibersek.
He was also the first sitting Prime Minister to march in the parade in 2023, saying that rights for Australia's LGBTQI+ community had "come a long way", but there was "still further to go".
He said of Mardi Gras, "I've been doing this for many decades now, just about every year since about 1984, so for 40 years," joking about showing his age.
"But it's fun. It's a celebration, and it shows a commitment to respect people for who they are."
Courtney Act was on reporting duty for ABC, who covered the event.

Act wore a sheer dress with flowers all over it, standing here on the iconic rainbow road.
