Madonna 'devastated' over custody battle, breaks down in tears onstage

The custody battle between Madonna and her ex-husband Guy Ritchie is looking closer than ever to coming to an end.

The latest is that the singer has reportedly admitted that her son wants to live with his dad in London.

"She's basically accepted she's not getting Rocco back," an insider told Page Six. "But she's holding out to get him back for one weekend per month."

Fan footage showing the star breaking down during an emotional dedication to her son Rocco, 15, shows the extent of the singer's anguish.

Madonna, 57, was in tears before dedicating a rendition of 'La Vie En Rose' to Rocco during Friday's Rebel Heart show in Auckland, New Zealand.

Rocco has been living in London with Guy since December, but Madonna's lawyer has reportedly asked for the 47-year-old filmmaker to be held in contempt for not bringing him back to New York to settle the dispute.

Judge Kaplan weighed in saying that both parents are to blame for the messy row.

"Frankly," she said. "Both parties have chosen to live their lives in a very public way and may welcome the publicity, but the child has not.

"He would like this matter resolved, and the issues concerning him and his family, in the most private way possible."
