Macklemore involved in head-on collision with drunk driver
Macklemore was unharmed in a scary head-on collision with an alleged drunk driver over the weekend.
According to TMZ, the accident happened Friday night just before 11:00 p.m. in Langley, Washington, which is about 90 minutes north of Seattle. According to police, the driver of a pickup truck was coming around a curve when he crossed into oncoming traffic and hit the Grammy-winning rapper's Mercedes-Benz.

The pickup truck driver wasn't wearing a seatbelt and smashed his head into the windshield, according to police, and was left unconscious and bleeding. The driver reportedly told police on the scene that he had a drink "a while back" at "5 'o clock." He was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. Police told TMZ he will be charged with drink driving.
The 'Same Love' rapper, 34, had two passengers with him; one person was treated for a minor cut to the head.
In recent years, Macklemore (real name: Ben Haggerty) has puts focus on maintaining his sobriety. In a 2014 interview with ABC News, the Kent, Washington, native spoke openly about past struggles with drug and alcohol abuse and time spent in rehab in 2008.
