Following his September 7 death due to suspected drug overdose, it's been revealed that Mac Miller kept a will that keeps his millions within the family.

Documents filed in 2013 show that the musician (real name Malcolm McCormick) set up a trust and legal will, leaving his estate to his mother, Karen Meyer, his father, Mark McCormick, and his brother, Miller McCormick.

His brother is also listed as the secondary trustee in charge of his estate, next to lawyer David Byrnes.

At the time of his death, Miller had amassed a net worth of $9 million at age 26.

When news of their son's death broke last week, his parents released the following statement:

"Malcolm McCormick known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26. He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thank you for your prayers."

The esteemed rapper's fans and famous friends have also shared their mourning in the past week.

Ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande shared screenshots to her Instagram story while listening to Miller's last album Swimming over the weekend.

The 25-year-old singer previously took to Instagram to pay tribute to her former boyfriend of two years with a photo, and later a longer message.

Alongside a video she'd taken of the rap star while they were still together, she wrote a touching message to her "dearest friend."

"i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will," she wrote. "i can't believe you aren't here anymore. i really can't wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. i'm so mad, i'm so sad i don't know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. i'm so sorry i couldn't fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you're okay now. rest."
