It's a good news week for fans of Love Island.

While we're yet to get a premiere date for the Aussie version, a fifth series of Love Island UK is on its way to us very soon.

The hit British series will be fast-tracked to Australia with the first episode being published on 9Now on June 5... and the cast are set to be announced any day now.

The Game

The original format for Love Island has been copied around the world, but it initially exploded in the UK, breaking ratings records and becoming a national phenomenon.

A bunch of gorgeous men and women, referred to as "Islanders", are sent to an exotic location where they're encouraged to couple up with each other or risk being eliminated.

Between the make-ups, breakups and hook-ups, the Islanders will be vying for votes from viewers.

To stay 'til the end and have a shot at winning a huge cash prize (and finding true love, of course), they've got to maintain an exclusive relationship with a member of the opposite sex and win over the public.

Each year we meet a group of gorgeous men and women as they search for love… and a few million Instagram followers.
