Lori Loughlin's family is back together.

The Full House star and her husband Mossimo Giannulli have been reunited after his recent release from prison. Giannulli served a five-month sentence for his role in the college admissions scandal, and Loughlin served two months.

"Everyone is extremely relieved that he was released and can finally start to breathe again," an insider told E! News. "Lori was especially concerned and very anxious while he was in prison. She is very grateful to have him home."

The source added, "They are hopeful about the future and being able to get their lives back on track. They are more than ready to move on and put this behind them."

Giannulli is expected to serve the remainder of his sentence in home confinement. His release date has been set at April 17.

He and his wife pled guilty to paying $US500 million (approx. $653,176) in brides to secure their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose's enrolment at the University of Southern California.

In December last year, Jade appeared on Jada Pinkett Smith's Facebook Watch series Red Table Talk to address the debacle.

"On paper, it's bad. It's really bad," she said on the show. "But I think what a lot of people don't know is that my parents just came from a place of, 'I love my kids, I just want to help my kids. Whatever is best for them,'" she explained of Loughlin and Giannulli. "I think they thought it was normal."

The ordeal inspired the recent Netlfix documentary Operation Varsity Blues which covered a widespread scheme that saw parents bribing colleges to get their children enrolled.
