Lori Loughlin's daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli returns to YouTube nine months after college admissions scandal

Lori Loughlin's daughter has returned to YouTube nine months after the Full House actress was implicated in the US college admissions scandal. 

Olivia Jade Giannulli was a massive YouTube star, with a whopping 1.93 million subscribers, when she disappeared from the spotlight in March after it was alleged that her famous mother had paid bribes to university officials to secure enrolment for 20-year-old Olivia and her sister, Isabella Giannulli, 21.

While Olivia could not talk about the details surrounding the case — saying she was "legally not allowed to speak on anything" — she did admit to her fans that she missed vlogging on her YouTube channel.

"I actually really, really miss it," she said in her comeback video titled "hi again", posted on December 2. "I genuinely miss filming. I feel like a huge part of me is just not the same because this is something that I'm really passionate about. It's something I really like to do."

The YouTuber also explained why she chose to speak out after months of silence. Although she said was "terrified" to film the video, it was necessary to do so she could start a new chapter in her life.

"This is the best I can do and I want to move on with my life, not trying to be in a selfish way," Olivia said. "It's so hard because I'm not trying to make this about me or how I've been because it's not the point of this.

"Moral of the story is I've missed you guys so much and I'm just really excited to start filming again and to start uploading," she concluded. "I really hope you enjoy the future vlogs."

Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli, who was also named in the scandal, pleaded not guilty to chargers of fraud and money laundering and could face a maximum of up to 45 years in prison.
