Liam Hemsworth 'living a completely different life' since split from Miley Cyrus

Exactly one year and one week on from his split from Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth is leading a very different lifestyle.

While his ex-wife is still singing and talking about their ill-fated marriage, the Aussie actor has escaped the drama and shackles of Hollywood for a peaceful life in the northern NSW town of Byron Bay.  

"Liam is happy to have moved on and is living a completely different life now," a source told E! News. "He needed to get out of town and away from it all to be able to get some perspective."

According to the source, the breakdown of the couple's eight-month marriage was hard for Hemsworth, and the post-split drama was even harder to take. One day after they announced their breakup on August 10, 2019, Cyrus was seen kissing reality star Kaitlynn Carter on vacation in Italy.

The women called it quits after two months, before Cyrus move on with Aussie pop star Cody Simpson, who she also split from earlier this week. 

"The way things ended between them didn't sit well and he was saddened by it all," said the source of Hemsworth, who is now dating Aussie model Gabriella Brooks.

"It took him time to come to terms with the end of their relationship and to process it all. He knows that he is in a better place and that they needed to move on from one another."

Despite embarking on a new romance within hours of their breakup, Cyrus revealed in a recent episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast that she too found the split difficult.

"I had a very public, very big breakup that was a 10-year span of a relationship," she said. "I tried not to get lost in the emotion… It's like a death when you lose a loved one, it's that deep."
