Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend Camila Morrone defends 23-year age gap
For a couple that rarely publicly address their relationship, Camila Morrone and Leonardo DiCaprio receive a fair amount of hate.
Now, with the criticism over their 23-year age gap spiralling out of control, Morrone has hit back, revealing in an interview she believes the hate is "unnecessary".
The actress says she noticed the negative comments about her romance of two years back in July, and in retaliation posted a photo of golden couple Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart, who had a 25-year age gap, writing, "I hope people learn to live with a little less hatred".

Four months on the Mickey And The Bear actress has revealed why she snapped with the cryptic post.
"I didn't even think about it beforehand," she told Vulture, describing herself as "kind of impulsive".
"I just woke up one morning and happened to look through my comments, which I never do because I never feel good after I do," she admits. "I was just thinking about it and I said what I was thinking: There's so much hate on the internet and it's so unnecessary."

The 22-year-old says she's doing her best to "protect myself and avoid things that'll hurt my feelings".
Despite feeling attacked for her relationship with the 45-year-old Oscar winner, Morrone understands the attention is all part of the fame game. In fact, she thinks it's "unfair when people choose to do this and then get upset when there's attention on them".
"You know what you were getting into," she explains. "There's a lot of very positive things about being a working actor, and there's the downside of it. But there's that in every career choice.
"It's just about learning what works for you. Some people like to be public and talk about things and some people don't like to talk about anything. It's about protecting your personal life and your sanity, and not leaving it open for people to nitpick. It's just a matter of finding the healthy balance."
As for that healthy balance, Morrone says on the topic of the hatred being directed towards she and DiCaprio, she "probably won't address it again".
