The awkward interview began with the reporter Marc Malkin asking the comedy star why this was the final season of the sitcom, prompting a long pause from David.

"Out of all the questions?" he asked the reporter because explaining "it's time. Twelve seasons, that's a lot for a television show, over 24 years."

Curb Your Enthusiasm first aired in 1999 and is on its twelfth season after having several breaks over the years.

Malkin then questioned if the show might return, claiming David has said the show was done in the past before coming back for another season.

"Yeah, I said it before, but I wasn't 76 when I said it," the actor said.

After that, the reporter asked David about his upcoming comedy tour after the show's conclusion, which the actor was not having a bar of.

"It's not a tour. I'm not going on a tour. I'm doing two appearances – so what?" he said.
