Kylie Minogue promises to shake things up when she brings her Golden Tour to Australia next year

The queen of reinvention is gearing up to do it again.

Kylie Minogue has long wowed fans with her spectacular arena shows, but she's set to give concertgoers a real treat during the Aussie leg of her Golden Tour next year.

The 50-year-old pop star has promised to stage an outdoors, festival-style concert similar to when she performed at the Radio 2 Live event in London's Hyde Park in September.

"It's very difficult routing a tour around Australia but I just wanted to do it a bit differently to how I've done it previously, which was usually in the same arenas," Monigue told the Daily Telegraph.

"Australia hasn't seen me do many outdoor gigs, I've done them a lot in the UK and they're really different and really enjoyable. So we'll adapt the show in Australia for whether we're indoors or outdoors."

Along with her regular indoor shows in Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne, which kick off on March 5, Minogue will hit wine country in Perth, the Hunter Valley in NSW, and Mt Cotton in Queensland for her first ever A Day on the Green shows.

"The whole concept sounds amazing," gushed Minogue. "I've got friends who've been to them who rave about them, so I can't wait."

With her tour set to start just days after the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras on March 2, there's been plenty of speculation that she'll headline the annual event. But she's not giving anything away just yet.

"I'd hate to say I'm doing something when I'm not, but honestly nothing is planned right now. We'll see," said Minogue, who last joined in the Mardi Gras fun in 2012.
